
Brokeback went from #4 Monday up to #2 yesterday in box office receipts, a jump of just over 27%, probably due to the Oscar noms.
The only thing beating it is that Martin Lawrence cinematic abortion (tell me again who pays money to see such crap?).
Also, remember Brokeback's in about 1/2 as many theaters as Big Momma and Underworld: Evolution, the two films surrounding it on the chart, and it's still got the highest per-screen average of any film in the top nineteen... only to be beat on that count by TransAmerica at #20.
Anyway, BBM should pass $60 million some time over the weekend, when I imagine it's numbers will spike even more, making it the highest grossing film nominated for Best Picture this year.
So tell me, HAVE YOU SEEN IT YET???
