BBM Breaks Top Five!

In less than 500 theaters, Brokeback Mountain has edged into the top five movies in the country for Tuesday. The four films above it (Hostel, Narnia, King Kong and Fun With Dick and Jane) are in 6 to 7 times as many theaters, and are still only beating BBM by a couple hundred thousand dollars. It's making nearly twice what #1 film Hostel is per theater.

Box office is not so important, but what matters is that people are going to see this film. It needs to be seen. The moron in Utah who banned the film can only be helping matters - Americans generally don't like to be told what they can and cannot see by someone else.
