Zombie Bugs

The living dead do exist!

A hairworm spends the first part of its life eating away the insides of a grasshopper (or a cricket), then infects and takes over the grasshopper's brain, and incites it to find and leap into a body of water and drown itself. The hairworm lives and breeds in water, so it needs to get there before the grasshopper is useless to it, and what better way really than reanimating a corpse?

Nature's really fucked up.

Dude. That is revolting. Only you could find something like that. What's next, vampire potato bugs, possessed chipmunks? Sigh. At least it's not about Jake G.
