Congratulations to Michael B. Jordan, the deserved Oscar winner for Fruitvale Station. Hey I'm being magnanimous here. Just like how I congratulated Jessie Buckley for her win, see below. So what did we all think of the big show last night? Generally I'm happy, given my favorite movie of 2025 deservedly took home the top prize. I always forget who won the other awards within a week anyway...
Jessie Buckley, best actress for ‘I’m Thinking of Ending Things’ yayyy— Jason Adams (@jamnpp.bsky.social) March 15, 2026 at 10:33 PM

I like that it came in at about 3 hours, moving faster than ever before. However, due to the weather here in Minnesota, a lot of things were scrambled. There were names that I missed, although I got who they were through IMdB. The sequence of music from K-Pop was nice, but I didn’t know what it was at the time. Congratulations to them. I thought the In Memoriam was beautiful. So nice to see Streisand singing. I wanted Sinners to win Best Picture, but I’m thrilled for Michael B. Jordan and Jessie Buckley. Sean Penn now has 3, good for him. Amy Madigan paid her dues a long time ago. Congratulations to her! Overall, it was a good broadcast.
I’m pretty easy in that as long as a terrible film like Crash or Green Book doesn’t win, I don’t get too worked up over it. And while I would have picked a few different winners, nothing was egregious and those who did win had great work in the past. So on to the next one.
