When Joan Chen popped up in Andrew Ahn's wonderful re-imagining of The Wedding Banquet earlier this year I think many of us flashed back to this extremely underrated gem, which also saw the Twin Peaks icon playing mom to a queer woman. Great little movie that will hopefully find its rightful place in the canon of wonderful little gay movies now. We need all of the wonderful little gay movies we can get.
