Granted it's been a couple of years since I saw the original Speak No Evil (it's not really the kind of movie you're dying to watch over and over again -- here's my review of that one) but I do not recall the character in that film that James McAvoy is playing in the remake being played as the sexiest psychopath motherfucker on the planet...

I still think remaking this movie is a goofy ass idea when the original is so darkly terrifying and I don't have the inclination to believe that an American remake will go for it quite so hard, but I guess we'll see when it's out on September 13th. Also... the trailers have given away basically everything at this point, so if you're trying to not know what this movie is about I wish you the best of luck. Just don't watch the trailers? I can't imagine the American version keeping the same ending...but we shall see.
Also, the trailer gives WAY TOO MUCH away.
So wasn’t there ful frontal male nudity in the original (I’ve never seen it) I’m sure the American remake won’t have that especially since there would be a lot of buzz around seeing James nude again in a film, unless it’s the other character who gets nude….Scoot is hot too.

Just read the summary and saw a video summary of the original film. Interesting concept, but SO many red flags. That disturbing ending could have been curved.
Still down for skin, despite the unsettling context. I need help. LOL!
I used to go see McAvoys movies regularly but since he boarded the Shyamalan Horror Train, I don’t follow him any more.
