It's Toni Collette's 51st birthday today and you could knock me over with a feather upon the just-now-made realization that I have never done a list of my favorite Toni performances before. Not even for her 50th last year? What the hell was I thinking? Well there's no time like the present. I don't think this list will surprise anybody with my choices given what a vocal supporter of her I've been since I saw Muriel's Wedding way back in '96 and it became basically my number one favorite movie of all time...

She should have won the best supp actress Oscar for "the sixth sense."
Oh my GOD I forgot about IN HER SHOES -- adding to the runner-up pile immediately
Hereditary, United States of Tara, Clockwatchers, Muriel's Wedding and Knives Out would be my top five.
Also, her top three characters from Tara were Shoshana, Buck and Alice for me.
Literally everything, I'm just gonna add Connie and Carla and Fright Night..
While a fan since Muriel, I didn't recognize her greatness until US of Tara.
While I can't say I'm a completist in her filmography I am a big fan of her and her work. A very skillful actress.

The Sixth Sense-just flat out brilliant
Emma-In anyone else's hands the flibbertigibbet Harriet would have been nigh intolerable but she makes her endearing.
