As the post's title asks -- what is everybody planning on watching tonight to get yourselves in ye spooky mood? (That is assuming you're a homebody like me and aren't going to a hip club wearing your Sexy Voldemoort costume or whatever.) I haven't figured out what I want to watch myself yet, so please -- comment on this post and give me some ideas! I probably won't decide until I'm home in front of the T.V. after work and can feel what vibe I wanna go for. But if you think you can recommend obscure titles I've never seen all the better -- I love to be surprised! But classics too. Just gimme!

I'll be watching the OG, Halloween.
I'm going to recommend The Fury, DePalma's follow up to Carrie. Streaming on MAX, it's very 70's DePalma, plus Andrew Stevens!
Give Kane Pixel's "The Oldest View" series on YouTube a try if you like liminal horror stuff.
TCM aired "The Night Digger" with Patricia Neal this month. I will be watching that off of TCM On-Demand. It sounds spooky, was written by her husband, and TCM's website had an interesting article about the behind-the-scenes (as usual, almost more horror/drama than the actual film).
The Haunting (1963), directed by Robert Wise.
Party tonight, but I caught “Dark Harvest” last night and thought it was pretty fun. Have you seen “No One Will Save You” on Hulu yet?
I'll be watching "Donyale Luna: Supermodel" on MAX. Not horror but something I've been meaning to watch.
I will also have to check out "the night digger." Thanks for the rec Jonathan S!
I'm finishing my rewatch of the Alien Quadrilogy, which I recently found on BluRay. They look stunning here! But I'm doing all the alternate versions... my takes so far:
Alien director's cut: the original is better
Aliens extended cut: vital additions, but for a first view do the theatrical cut
Alien 3 alternate version: fascinating and fills in a lot of gaps. I like this film more every time I watch it.
Alien Resurrection: we'll see!
We just watched THE BLACK CAT and now we're watching THE FURY.
Anon -- I did see No One Will Save You and I enjoyed it. Kaitlin Dever is always the best and I dug its out there ending a lot. I also enjoyed Dark Harvest!
Brad - which The Black Cat? It really hit home this past year when I bought like a fourth different version that there are SO MANY horror movies with that title. I am assuming you mean the 1934 one with Boris Karloff and Béla Lugosi though, which I only saw for the first time last year and ADORED
Halloween (2018) I haven't seen it
Hmmm, how about The House with the Laughing Windows, (1976), The Old Dark House (1932), Nightmare Weekend (1986) or Tombs of the Blind Dead (1972)? These were some of my favorite discoveries this year.
Saw a terrible play called Do You Believe in Ghosts in London. Really long and not at all what it was advertised as being. Very few haunted theater stories and a whole lot of nothing else. A dreadful evening of theater!
The Bride of Frankenstein, of course. Elsa Lanchester is the best. And of course, James Whale. And then, going to go see the off-Broadway queer success, “DRACULA, A Comedy of Terrors!”
No movies but I finished The Fall of the House of Usher. It's the best Mike Flanagan show so far. Great performances, very creepy. Give Carla Gugino all the awards!
Cobweb streaming on Hulu
