If you like ALL ABOUT EVE you will love it. Same type of Mankiewicz writing, just a bit less vicious.

Great quirky film with a memorable Linda Darnell. I watched My Darling Clementine. Was shocked at how great it was. It's a great Ford film, had not expected to love it. Again a great Darnell performance, along with a really edgy Henry Fonda.

Jason this is an essential! Incisively written, wonderfully directed and full of fantastic performances. Jeanne Crain & Jeffrey Lynn as the first couple are adequate but bland everyone else is exceptional especially Linda Darnell in the best role she ever had. She responded with an award worthy performance, though she was unjustly overlooked.

Also a brilliant comic pairing of Thelma Ritter and Connie Gilchrist as two salt of the earth dames plus a terrific vocal performance by Celeste Holm full of silky venom.
