Legendary Japanese director Seijun Suzuki was born 100 years ago today! I've only ever seen Tokyo Drifter and Branded to Kill (which Criterion just put out onto 4K a couple of weeks ago) but those two are enough to call this goddamned legend legendary, believe you me. They're enough for twenty legends on their own.
The Criterion Channel does have both of those two films and a few more of Suzuki's streaming on their platform, so do yourselves a favor and go watch one in the man's honor. They're stylish insanity in the very best of ways. Tarantino wishes!
