It's Strawberry Time

One of the best movies I saw last year was Kentucker Audley and Albert Birney's sweetly surreal Strawberry Mansion, which I reviewed at Sundance 2021 calling it a "ketamine dream-space" which totally sounds like a thing I would say, right? Well I did. And I meant it. It's a lo-fi imaginarium a la Michel Gondry where the budget creativity  on display puts big box office titans to shame -- there's more wonder in this movie than there is in ten Marvel movies, plus two. Anyway it's a delight and it is hitting blu-ray today, so head on over to Amazon (where they conveniently have it on sale) and snatch yourself up a copy -- I really truly think this is the kind of movie that benefits from multiple watchings, where you can really immerse yourself in its strange world.
