Say Yes To Crimes

Here on the day when Cannes announces its 2022 line-up, which we've known will include David Cronenberg's Crimes to the Future -- his first feature film in nearly a decade, starring Viggo Mortensen, Léa Seydoux, and Kristen f'ing Stewart -- for some time, Neon went and teased us with the first look teaser trailer at the movie, and I consider myself teased! All of my tingly bits teased but good. Watch:

Full on Body Horror, baby!!! You could almost say it's been 23 years since he touched that stuff with eXistenZ in '99 (although there are whispers of it here and there ever since, of course). They say it'll be out for us normies (i.e. people not having the good luck to go to Cannes) in June, so smear some liquid of yourself on that part of the calendar as a reminder.

Okay that out of the way -- now let's talk about me. Me! I'm still sick with the lingering effects of COVID (talk about Body Horror) so don't take this post as an indicator that I'm up and blogging again. It's going to be another quiet day here on the site unfortunately. I'm really over it, I am ready to be back out in the world, but I'm just not there yet. I tried to give it a go last night, to do something normal, and it knocked me on my ass. At least one more day of rest it is, I guess. Hope you're all well and more importantly missing me. I'll be back louder and more obnoxious than ever soon enough, no worries.

I liked Existenz but felt the budget showed. Hopefully this one doesn't have that limitation. And yes Jason, please take what you need so you can come back full force.
