"For me it's always Strangers on a Train that I thought of when I saw her. She's charming in Stage Fright but Strangers was the best role she had... It is too bad she didn't act more since she had a sure comic touch. But she can't be faulted for choosing to concentrate on raising her family, especially since she was always so willing to share her memories of her parents at any time.."--- That's reader Joel memorializing an MNPP Forever Fave with the death of Patricia Hitchcock, daughter to Alfred & Alma and an always welcome screen-presence that we totally adored. Being the Ricardos?
Yup that's the one, Anon -- Being the Ricardos -- good work :)
I plan on watching that, it looks good
Frankly, I thought it was terrible. The script is seriously problematic because it's unfocused. Javier Bardem is okay as Desi Arnaz, but Nicole Kidman doesn't even try to look or sound like Lucy. About midway, she gives up trying to give a performance completely. If you want to see a decent movie about Lucy and Desi, try the ones made for TV starring either Rachel York (the better of the two) or Frances Fisher. This one is terrible.
It was a bad TV movie. Not good. Bad casting. It looks like this is the first script and the first run through. #rushed
