Good Morning, World

Hey y'all you know Will Poulter? Kinda funny looking little kid from movies like Son of Rambow and We're the Millers -- seen most recently and delightfully playing the dickhead best friend in Midsommar? Well dude looks like this now apparently -- this is on the series Dopesick, Hulu's show about Big Pharma starring Michael Keaton, Peter Sarsgaard, Michael Stuhlbarg, Kaitlyn Dever, Rosario Dawson, and in their debut role, Will Poulter's gigantic new muscles.

Who the hell saw this coming? It's like Jonathan Tucker 2.0. I wonder if he's gunning (hehe see what I did there) for a superhero role? I've liked WIll Poulter for a long time, he's got charisma and talent -- I remember when he almost got the role of Pennywise in the new It movies! That would've been good casting. (Not that Bill Skarsgard didn't end up being the best part of those, even though I'd worried he was too cute for the role.) But this I did not expect. Tell me your thoughts on these, uhh, developments, in the comments and hit the jump for more gifs...

He'll be in the next Guardian of the Galaxy as Adam Warlock. Hence, the muscles.

No thanks. Muscles don’t make someone “hot” all of the sudden.

He has such permanently angry eyebrows, I find his casting is always distracting, but not a bad thing. A good actor. I liked him in The Revenant.

Impressive upper body until you get to the awful happy trail. And looks like he skips leg day - dude has NO ass.

I know I post all types on here but IRL I'll always be drawn more to an "interesting" face than a blandly pretty one and Will falls under that umbrella. We will never get bored by a face like that

I love his unusual looks. Normally I'm not into blondes but he seems like a different type altogether. He's been unfairly picked on because of his features, but I see nothing wrong with him. He's bulked up for sure!

It’s one thing to find him attractive as is, which I do respect, but to now have the entire (almost) internet throwing their attention at him simply because of this new swollen physique. It just feels lazy on everyones part. He’s a pretty decent actor and I think “Hollywood” has a way of ruining that when the MCU comes calling. He does deserve attention for his effort but objectifying his new look and comparing it to what I assume is his actual chosen look is depressing to watch. It’s not a new conversation, but it is continuing to structure a topic that sets an expectation that your physical appearance determines your value. Are we learning anything as a society? Personally, I prefer the prior him, and would have respected his casting in GOTG3 had they allowed him to approach it with out altering his body for it. I’m usually not this pumped up on these sorts of issues but I’m tired of reading the comments hoping to read what I’m thinking. To those who feel the same.
