Good Morning, World

Until this morning when news of fresh  Alexander Skars-butt spread like wildfire across the gay internet, I had forgotten that I hadn't actually seen all of the episodes of the new take on The Stand. I totally thought I'd finished the series thanks to screeners and had fully moved on (tells you how impressed I was) and so this morning's news threw me -- I would remember seeing the Skars-butt. I have mental files devoted to such things. Well it turns out I only saw the first six episodes of The Stand, and there are still a couple more to go, and Alex got his primed possession out in the seventh one. Guess I know what I'm watching later! But I won't make you wait -- fresh Skars-butt after the jump...

Think I haven't watched him in anything... 😏

Might be the reason why I don't see what all the fuss is about 🤷‍♂️

I'm too tired of being nickle and dimed to death by streaming services. It's like a Shark frenzy and I'm done with it. Amazon Prime has a ton of sub genre categories like Shudder,CBS All Access, AMC, Discover 2 or what ever Peacock etc. They all want a piece of the action and as far as I'm concerned they can have it. They are spreading themselves so thin I have to wonder who has the money to pay for all these extras...not to mention the giants like HBO Max etc etc etc. When the Covid pandemic finally eases and people go out again, I will be curious to see who survives. And right now, I don't care if any of them do. So there :)

The new version sucks soooooooo bad. I hate half the cast, the decision to tell most of the story in flashbacks totally broke the narrative momentum, and there's no shirtless Rob Lowe. Most of the characters are nothing like they were in the book.

With all it's flaws, I'd watch the 90s version again 20 times before I'd ever watch this mess twice. It was at least entertaining.
