Chalamet, Chalamet Not

Well I wasn't expecting a new Timmy photo-shoot today but I guess this will help that "Warner Brothers is throwing all of their 2021 movies, including Dune, onto HBO Max" news go down a little smoother (except... well not really) -- he was photographed by Hedi Slimane for Document Journal; there's also a chat with him and you can read it at this link. A lot of it reads... awfully Try Hard, I have to admit -- I guess every actor slash person goes through this in their 20s, where they sound like this... for example, when he was asked about "going against the grain" in 2020...

"Going against the grain is important when you can really identify what in your life or your art is negatively sapping you or if you can identify normative institutional patterns that are actually oppressive and need disruption or destruction. But to simply be a contrarian for the energy of it in a way can be reckless. Look at our last political administration and what a disaster it was, in part, because of the reciprocally admirative relationship between Trump and his supporters around triggering behaviors. In other words, being an asshole. I was thinking about that as Biden won this week. You saw people cry in the streets. How much was this country hurting emotionally because of the other side’s chosen troll avatar? We’ve been living through a cycle of spite."

We should cut the boy some slack, he is 24 and I agree with his sentiment obviously, but you gotta take the thesaurus-enthusiasm down a notch, Tim-Tim. (Also pretty sure "admirative" isn't a word?) Anyway back to that WB news -- I'm personally taking the "human beings' health is more important that anything, even The Movies" approach to this for now -- we'll rebuild what we can rebuild down the road, once thousands of people aren't you know choking to death on the fluid in their lungs every single day. Which is to say we should be worrying about other shit. I mean if you haven't noticed I love the goddamn movies, I do! But movies aren't going anywhere. The exhibition might look different, but movies aren't going anywhere. Neither are all these Timmy pictures! (That's called a "smooth transition.") Hit the jump for thirteen more Timmy pictures...

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Those pictures simply do not look as if he has a healthy weight. Eat a sandwich Tim!

At the beginning of the post, 2012 should be 2021. Your copyeditor must have missed it.

His performance in Beautiful Boy was all the more of a knockout after seeing him in CMBYN.

I just added Beautiful Boy to my Netflix account. I've only seen Timothy in CMBYN. The end was hard to watch

Admirative is a word. And he used it correctly. He is wordy. But he has always been wordy.

jealousy doesn’t look good on you guys. he’s living his life and you’re living yours. why hate on his accuracy when you could just be quiet?

Biden is not out president!!! I don't hate on anyone and I don't trigger anyone.

His weight isn't terrible. I know people who are naturally thin and have high metabolism which makes it hard to gain weight. Perhaps he will gain weight as matures. Good actor!

There are so many stupid people around today, why rip on a young man who is very smart and has a big vocabulary? That’s just how he talks. You want him to sound like an idiot? The guy is very smart, he went to Columbia ffs, and both his parents went to Yale, and his uncle went to Harvard (where he was friends with Conan O’Brien oddly enough) so he’s a smart kid that comes from smart stock and they probably use ~big words at home. After four years of Trump idiocy I welcome celebrities that actually use their brain.
