The town. Have you ever read A Little Life?

THE TOWN is correct.

And no, I haven't read ALL yet. I have been a really bad reader this year, I keep starting things and not finishing them. It's sitting on the stack in my bedroom though.

You will love it. It needs to be made into SOMETHING

Ivo van Hove, who did that last b'way revival of west side story, crafted a stage adaptation of part of A Little Life last year with his theater company in belgianland.

It's a deep and moving novel and Jude St. Francis is in my memory almost as a person someone I knew. If i read it again i'll skip big chunks.

It's so good (ALL, not The Town). I had an honest-to-god physical reaction to it, it moved me so much. I read it a second time and some flaws stood out that hadn't bothered me the first time. But I still reacted strongly to the same stuff I did the first time. Its one of those things that goes back and forth between really dark, brutal moments and moments of real beauty and tenderness. Strongly recommend! If you get into it you will MAKE time for it and not be able to stop.
