The Toni TV Network

.
Best blessings and tremendous tidings to whomever it is at Netflix that can't get enough Toni Collette Content, because they are totally in the biz of churning it out and we are here for it. Variety announces today that our favorite Muriel Heslop is doing another series for the streamer, this one called Pieces of Her which is based on the 2018 book by Karin Slaughter and described thusly:

"A random act of violence in a sleepy Georgia town sets off an unexpected chain of events for 30-year-old Andy Oliver and her mother Laura (Collette). Desperate for answers, Andy embarks on a dangerous journey across America, drawing her towards the dark, hidden heart of her family."

Anybody read this? Some horror sites have picked up the news which makes me think the book might be scarier than that plot necessarily reads. Amazon has a more in-depth sell of the story but I had to stop skimming that, it seemed as if it was giving too much away. I mean, not that I'll ever read the book -- who has the time? Toni Collette's gonna act it out for me soon enough. Anyway this marks Toni's third series for Netflix after Wanderlust and Unbelievable -- what's really unbelievable is the fact that I haven't had time to watch Unbelivable yet! -- and then of course there's also her Netflix film the belovedly ridiculous Velvet Buzzsaw...

Definitely watch Unbelievable. Gripping series with three great lead performances.

UNBELIEVABLE is SO good. That was a difficult binge over the holidays, but I powered through and just... it's great.
