Good Morning, World

.
A happy 23rd birthday to everybody's favorite sad boy Lucas Hedges today -- I don't know about you but if I'd worked with Kenneth Lonergan and Greta Gerwig and Wes Anderson and Martin McDonagh and Jason Reitman and Terry Gilliam and Trey Edward Shults and Joel Edgerton and Steven Soderbergh by the tender age of 23 I might take a day off and celebrate!

Lucas can currently be seen in two of the year's best movies -- there's Schults' film Waves, which I sorta reviewed here; in my review I didn't mention Lucas by name but I usually don't mention people by name in my reviews so that was nothing personal, especially since he's one of the best parts of the movie. His scenes with Taylor Russell are the film's life blood. The other film he's in is the excellent Honey Boy opposite Shia LaBeouf, and...

... if that scene was online that's what I'd be sharing this morning, but it's not, so we're lucky I stumbled upon this photo-shoot you see here. I wish I could've found a higher res version of this photo-shoot, but I did what I could with it. Hit the jump for the rest...

I love Lucas! I'm about to see 'Honey Boy' in ten minutes. I'll be back soon to talk about his bum.

How many emotionally damaged older brothers is he gonna play? Why is he in every indie movie? Uhhh

I think you might have oversold Lucas's side-bum. But it was lovely, and I look forward to seeing the whole bum one day.

I LOVE Lucas Hedges, but I'm a shallow SOB and I just wish for two things that for me would make him perfect. 1 Do a comedy. 2 (here's the shallow part) go to a gym.

Well, he's got a comedy coming up, probably to be released late summer or fall, "French Exit" with Michelle Pfeiffer, though having read the book upon which it's based, it'll probably have a dark edge. He's also done something with Meryl Streep currently called "Let Them All Talk."
That brings to mind that not only has he worked with a number of talented directors as Jason noted, but he's also accumulated an impressive roster of imminent leading ladies.

As for his physique, yep, pale, glabrous, and slight like a certain other more renowned young actor in his age group. He seems to focus more on being a character actor than a heartthrob hunk. I don't think he'd hit the gym unless he got a role that demanded he get ripped.
