I feel tremendous guilt that I haven't had the chance to write up my thoughts on Rick Alverson's film The Mountain starring Tye Sheridan and Jeff Goldblum since seeing it as part of BAM's "CinemaFest" series back in June -- I thought I'd manage before it hit theaters last week but I didn't take Fantasia Fest into account and now I'm several reviews behind for FF even, much less The Mountain. And The Mountain is by no means an easy film to digest -- it subverts expectations every single chance it gets. I mean that as a compliment -- I think it might be a Great Film, possibly? But I gotta see it a second time. So until that happens here are a couple shots of Tye Sheridan in his boxer shorts and a half promise to do better! Oh and this is also me saying you should see The Mountain, most importantly of all.
