Good Morning, World

.
This morning on my ride to work the Adam Ant song "Man Called Marco" came up on shuffle on my iPod and I suddenly couldn't stop listening to it -- turns out it's an excellent "get up and go and greet the day" song. So I was just going to post it for y'all to feel what I felt, and what the hell I'll do that too...

... but while I was looking up an Adam Ant photo to go with that video I stumbled upon something I'd never heard of and which that up-top gif's from -- Adam Ant acted opposite Amadeus himself Tom Hulce in a 1987 film called Slamdance (gotta love the 80s, when movies could be titles Slamdance) directed by Wayne Wang of all people.

Have any of you seen this movie? I could find a couple clips but it seems fairly forgotten otherwise, but weirdly it has been released on both DVD and bluray so it must have something keeping it afloat (I read it's got a good soundtrack?) and as happy as it makes me I doubt it's this split-second of Adam in his underpants.

It does have a great cast besides Ant and Hulce -- Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio, Harry Dean Stanton, John Doe (lead singer of the band X and co-star of the finest film ever made Road House), and Virginia Madsen... who I think is naked in it, and now I know why it's stayed available on home video all this time. I answered my own question! Nevermind! On that note here's a scene that plays particularly homoerotic between Hulce & Ant to send us off...
