When I noticed that it was Michael Fassbender's 42nd birthday today I really didn't think I'd find anything new on him to post -- dude isn't really working any more and I figured I've gone through what there was at this point. And then! Lightning bolt! Not only did I find something new-to-me but something new-to-me that is also gay!

And yes that is the Emperor Palpatine (Ian McDiarmid) there getting frisky with our Fassy. This is from the 2005 BBC movie Our Hidden Lives, which I have never seen -- have any of you? It apparently tells four different stories of post-WWII existence in the UK -- Fassy's character is only called "German POW" so I guess that gives an inkling of his story. His gay story.
