Good Morning, Gratuitous Paco León

.
I hadn't been planning on doing another great big gratuitous post of pictures this morning after just doing one for the actor George MacKay yesterday, but I was scrolling through Instagram this morning and  the Spanish actor Paco León posted the above photo on his account, reminding me I had a great big gratuitous folder full of pictures of him sitting on my computer...

... that I had yet to post here on the site and I said, okay. Sure. That said t reason I haven't posted the shots is because I don't have an angle on Paco - I haven't ever seen him in anything, and I don't know very much about him. I know he came out as bisexual a couple of years ago, and right around that time he also held a contest to gain social media followers where he promised (and he came through on) full nudity. (You'll see that below.)

I suppose in this day and age that's more that I know than I do about most. Half the people whose names are stuck in my head I have no idea, no idea, why they're there. "Their dick" is as good a reason as any. So if any of our Spanish readers want to educate me in the comments I'd love that - the rest of us we'll just hit the jump and stare at the several dozen pictures and enjoy Paco that way...

There is a new netflix series from mexico, la casa de las flores (the house of the flowers) where he plays a trans woman in a very interesting and almodovarian way. the series is a new spin of the telenovela that shines when it goes to the absurd but pales when is forced to stick to a typical plot. Anyway is a fun watch, specially for the commitment of most of the actors to their juicy characters.

Well, that's one (very polite) way of putting it, Anon. You forgot the part where trans people were not very happy about it, and he gave some tone-deaf answer related to the (lack of) quality/variety of trans actresses.

He was a huge tv star, he can be really funny, but somewhat that electricity in the small screen hasn't translated into the big screen, even when he casts himself. He's an actor turned director, and as much as I liked Kiki, that was far from Almodóvar (probably what he was going for).

About the bisexuality, he has more recently admitted that it was only something occasional from his past, and that it was more some random experience than real bisexuality, somehow implying that it was the media who had classified him as bisexual, but that he's now a happily married (to a woman) man.

I don't actually find him that hot because when I first saw him, he used to be your next door skinny comic actor in drag, impersonating women. And then, because of his celebrity persona.
