I'm torn between Senso and Ossessione leaning more towards the first because of its gorgeous colors and the cast.
God this movie was so weird. So stilted and that kid could not act his way out of a paper bag.
I was surprised, a while back, to discover that Tadzio was based on a real person, Adzio Moes, the son of the Polish Baron Aleksander Juliusz Moes and Countess Janina Miączyńska, and that he was still alive when the Visconti film was released. He'd been aware of the book since the 1920s, when a relative pointed out the similarities.
