Everything You Ever Need To Know About Life...

... you can learn from:

Jackie Brown (1998)

Jackie: Ever been tempted?
Ray: What? To put one of these in my pocket?
Jackie: Uh-huh.
Ray:  If I did, I'd have to give you one, wouldn't I?
Or we could take what we want.
No one knows how much there is except us, right?
Jackie: Yes. All those things are true.
Ray: After all, it don't belong to nobody, right?
Jackie: That would be one point of view.

Michael Keaton should be glad that Quentin Tarantino's Greatest Film Jackie Brown is there still getting played on TV every so often (actually rather often - I feel like I turn on IFC and it's there playing 9 times out of 20) because it makes me forget how very strongly I disliked Birdman and was turned against him during that Oscar Season. He is very good in Jackie Brown! He is very good in many things. Birdman and all things Birdman related, notsomuch.

A happy 66 to him today.
What's your favorite Michael Keaton performance?

The idea that he was "due" was just baffling to me. Plus it was an overly smug performance is an overly smug film. Besides, he ended up being so much better in Spotlight just a year later.
