Good Morning, World

.
There's not a lot that War on Everyone (watch the trailer here) gets right - it's not a great movie - but its costumer should get props because he understands the movie it wants to be. The funny thing is there were several moments that the costumes made me think of David Fincher's Fight Club, and when I looked up War on Everyone's costumer this morning well what should I discover? The same dude worked on both movies. His name's Terry Anderson and he is also responsible for putting Joseph Gordon Levitt in that obscenely tight suit in Inception (I was just talking about that on Twitter last week) so we should all be sending roses to Terry Anderson is my point.

Anyway picking the right underwear for an extended "actor in underwear" scene is important - these are the moments many of us will remember long after a movie has faded, after all - and Mr. Anderson did a bang-up job putting Alexander Skarsgard in these bright yellow briefs. Golden panties for the golden god. And they fit right in with the wanna-be goofy pop aesthetic of the movie. It's a shame the movie's not better - there's just no forward momentum; not even an inciting incident that gets us hooked. The characters have no arc. Basically we're never given any reason to care. Besides staring at a bearded bisexual pervert Theo James...

... and staring at Alexander, of course,
but we can do that right here after the jump...

he must be a grow-er, not a show-er

I'll never forgive them for not making Theo James make out with a guy when he's walking downstairs.

I had a false memory he was also in yellow briefs in Diary of a Teenage Girl. Thank God you had a post of his tighty whities to set me straight.
