Good Morning, World

.
It would probably be good for Edgar Ramirez' wonky career for us to be reminded of the movie Carlos and just how fantastic he was in it just about now, so let's do just that - since it is the 62nd birthday or writer-director-genius Olivier Assayas today -- and I don't know what sort of magical French diet he keeps but I find it impossible to believe that he is 62. Look at him in October at the NYFF!

I mean he doesn't look 25 or anything but that doesn't look like a man in his 60s either. Anyway since it's Assayas' birthday today we have an excuse to post these gifs from Carlos that we have definitely never posted before. (You can see more from Carlos over here.)

Besides watching Carlos, and Summer Hours, and Clouds of Sils Maria, and every single movie that Olivier Assayas has ever made (for real though) you should definitely keep your eyes peeled for his new movie Personal Shopper, which is out in theaters on March 10th. I had a mixed reaction to it at NYFF (read my review here) but I kind of haven't been able to stop thinking about it ever since and I'm curious to watch it again. Here's a poster they released last week:
