Can we just take a moment to discuss the wild/gorgeous use of lines in that production design and direction?

Think about it: Judy Holliday won the Oscar over Bette Davis and Anne Baxter in All About Eve, Eleanor Parker in Caged (no surprise there) and Gloria Swanson in Sunset Blvd. She had done the run of the play on Broadway, when she replaced Jean Arthur, and there are rumors that she won the Oscar because she'd been questioned by the HUAC, and was found not guilty of being a communist sympathizer, etc. I think her best movies are It Should Happen to You and Bells are Ringing, but Judy Holliday was a gift from the gods. 43 when she left us, dead from Cancer. She's utterly delightful as Billie Dawn. I need to see that again!
