5 Off My (Radio) Head - Happy 48, Thom Yorke

.
Tis my lord and savior's birthday today! I don't have a ton of time to write something up but since I noticed it's his birthday via IMDb of all places it occurred to me that it might be fun to pick five of my favorite movies where Radiohead music has been used. So here!

1.  Clueless - Radiohead's the band that Cher
makes fun of Josh for listening to

2. "Talk Show Host" in Baz Luhrmann's Romeo + Juliet - the song doesn't have a big moment but it's one of my favorite Radiohead songs and it exists thanks to the movie - so thanks, movie

3. When Clive Owen and Michael Caine get stoned together early on in Children of Men they're listening to "Life in a Glass House" - I loved thinking of future hippie-stoners listening to Amnesiac like it's the new Dark Side of the Moon

4. Not Radiohead precisely but Thom Yorke & Jonny Greenwood covered a couple Roxy Music songs for the most excellent Velvet Goldmine soundtrack
.

.
5. "Everything in its Right Place" playing over
an emptied-out Times Square in Vanilla Sky
.
