You Got Your Cat In My Bird

.
"In the introduction Atwood ponders whether or not to create a half-woman, half-owl named Atheneowl as a rival for Angel Catbird’s affections. “In her human form, does she work at Hooters, or is that a pun too far?” Atwood wonders. Whether this strikes you as ridiculously funny or just ridiculous may be a useful clue as to whether or not you will enjoy this book."

I don't know how I forgot about this but Margaret Atwood's superhero graphic novel Angel Catbird -- about a man transformed into a half-man half-owl half-cat (so many halves!) by an acciedent involving a mysterious serum and yes, yes, yes, I wrote that sentence and I loved every second of it -- came out yesterday, and you can order your copy right here, and I suggest you do this and we all read it together this weekend and come back on Monday as richer folks, full of magic in our heads. That quote up top by the way is from this interview at Slate. She is a delight.
