Big Apple Billy Lynn

.
The New York Film Festival's just announced something pretty exciting --  they will be premiering Ang Lee's new film Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk, its World Premiere, and they will be screening it the way Lee filmed it, and I quote, "in 4K, native 3D at the ultra high rate of 120 frames-per-second." This will be the first public screening of this technology anywhere in the world. You can read all the film's details over at the NYFF's website -- I think most of us, after the Hobbit thing, are a bit skeptical of this technology, but Ang Lee made the 3D in his Life of Pi movie sing so beautifully that I feel if anybody's up to the task... Also, I am down for staring at Garrett Hedlund in technology that gets me as close to him as possible, so there's that. In case you missed the trailer...
