This weekend I had the fine fortune to see John Carpenter perform a bunch of the music that he's composed over his storied career live and in person, and it was easily one of the single niftiest experiences I've had out in this city of New York. Here was a 68 year old man standing somewhat stationary (save the occasional flash of the devil horns or hip shimmy) at a keyboard that somehow managed to keep an entire room absolutely transfixed. Anyway I recorded him and his band playing the theme music to Halloween because duh, so watch!
