Jeff Nichols' new film Loving - starring Joel Edgerton & Ruth Negga as the interracial couple that tore down miscegenation laws in the late 1950s - premiered at Cannes this weekend and I've seen some reviews saying the performances are great but the movie's maybe a little less than. I'm mostly excited for Negga though, who's proven herself a fascinating actress on the small screen, and could use a big break. Anyway there's the first poster for the film above (via) and below is a shot of Edgerton and Nichols on the set.
