Great Moments In Movie Shelves #58

.
There are several scenes in Stanley Kubrick's 1975 film Barry Lyndon set in the gorgeous library -- all the better for Kubrick's natural light to bounce off of all those glorious golden spines, am I right?

There might actually be more than one library? It's not as if the magnificent house Barry Lyndon is set in couldn't contain multitudes. Did you know that the location, the Powerscourt House, was gutted by a fire just months after this movie filmed there?

CAN YOU IMAGINE? What a horror. Anyway they apparently renovated and rebuilt the house in 1996; has anyone ever visited? If I ever visited there I might melt right into the shelves, I tell ya what. Beauty! And in summation, cleavage.
