Tweet of the Day

.
.
Yeah yeah I tweeted this two full weeks ago but I feel like echoing the sentiment what with Saoirsie's big win today at the New York Film Critics Circle awards. I don't know that she'd be my pick over all the other also-great female performances I've seen this year but she's wonderful in the movie anyway (here's my review) and I am down with her name being thrust into the race right here at the start. For all of the winners, including lots of love for Carol and an awesome notice for Kristen Stewart in the awesome Clouds of Sils Maria, head over to The Film Experience where Nat's keeping track.

He is so adorable in BROOKLYN I swear I was blushing and getting all "swoonish" in my seat. Come to think of it, I feel the same way about the film. I love it! I wouldn't have been mad to have seen BROOKLYN win best film, director and screenplay as well as lead actress.
Love the K Stewart nod. I saw CLOUDS OF SILS MARIA last year and it is a phenomenal film and she and Binoche are superb.

Now if only I could cleanse my eyes from having to look at Domnhall Gleeson in it.

Loved Emory in this film (and the film itself -- such a lovely movie!) but did not for one minute think that he or any member of his family had a drop of Italian blood in them.
