Everything You Ever Need To Know About Life...

... you can learn from:

Brad: Look!
Megan: Where are they all going?
Brad: I don't know.
Looks like some kind of critter convention.
A happy 66th birthday (the devil's number) to horror legend Mick Garris, who directed Critters 2, which I love (see this Ways Not To Die post on the movie for just one example why) but that's not really what's made him a horror legend (sadly). Garris also wrote a slew of Amazing Stories episodes (a show that is of course now being rebooted by Bryan Fuller - Hey Bryan! Give Mick some love!) and The Fly II (oh yes!) and  Hocus Pocus.

Garris also directed the semi well regarded TV miniseries version of The Stand (some works, some doesn't, but in the pantheon of Stephen King adaptations it's far far far from being the worst). Most recently he's been behind the Masters of Horror and Fear Itself horror TV series, which funny enough my pal Glenn Dunks was just talking about earlier...
