I was waiting until I'd caught up to these scenes in Jessica Jones, the new Marvel superhero show on Netflix, before I posted them, but still, thanks to everybody who sent me pictures of furry delight Wil Traval in his underwear over the weekend - y'all know me so well! I am somewhere around the fifth or sixth episode right now (it's hard to keep track when you're binging, ya know) and I'm enjoying the show! How about you guys? I still probably prefer Daredevil a bit and no, not only because Charlie Cox Is My Boyfriend. But Jessica Jones gets bonus points because they let this dude keep his body hair...

Captain Armpit was a bonus, surely. No spoilers but I found JJ to be much more...haunting might be the word than the character arcs in DD.
The ripple effects and the lasting trauma was up to 11.

I didn't really wanna dive into specifics in the post but one thing I will give JJ is its villain -- Kilgrave is really fucking scary and awful, probably the best villain Marvel's ever had give or take Tom Hiddelston's showmanship as Loki.
The things that are keeping me (and remember I'm only six eps or so in) from totally going gaga for JJ are some tonal issues - there's a lot of goofiness rubbing up against a lot of dead-seriousness, which can surely work - look at Buffy or Veronica Mars, both shows it obviously wants to stand beside - but takes some practice and I don't know that they have, in these six episodes, mastered it yet.
Yesssss, Simpson came out of seemingly nowhere to be the hot dude (when Luke is absent) of the show.
I'm about halfway through and my favorite episode so far is the warped Beauty and the Beast one.
The fact that the scene from the latest The Leftovers episode where Justin Theoroux comes out of a bathtub naked is not here yet is surprising. We can't see front but we see the back very nicely
I'm still an episode behind in The Leftovers, I'm not capping it til I catch up. I know the scene happens though, I've already seen the pictures. Looks hot!
