Good Morning, World

.
Yeah we've all been there, Justin Theroux. (Or not. No I haven't. Whatever. Let's pretend I'm this edgy for this morning.) So who's watching The Leftovers? If the answer is yes, tell me what you're thinking about it in the comments please! I have mixed feelings towards it. It is... okay. Very good in spurts; super obnoxious in others. However I keep seeing people going nuts for it on the Twitter and I don't entirely get it. It's as confusing as.. well as waking up half-naked and handcuffed and alone. (But not really.) (Not really alone that is.) (It is that confusing.) (Or as confusing as all of these parentheses.) (Yeah that.)

I just binged on the latest three episodes last night and I HAVE SO MANY FEELS. Yes it is abnoxious in turns but then I get to watch Carrie Coontz face off against Regina King in a battle royale of the mother bears and I just well up inside. I did not to see Christopher Eccleston's penis. That's just one of those things you can't unsee. But for the most part, This season is standing out for me.

I agree with your assessment and I'm having a hard time having the energy to watch this season. I saw episode four last night and it's been a bit of a chore to get through. The new neighbour husband is horrible. I can't stand him. I like Regina King but I'm not feeling her character yet. I don't know if I'm feeling any of the characters anymore, not like I did in season one. I will probably finish the season because, as you say, it's very good in spurts, but I'm finding it much more on the obnixious scale. I really want to like it more than I do. I was irritated when I read the hate for season one, now I'm starting to get irritated by the love this season is getting.

This seasons seems like exactly like what it is, a show that ran through all of the source material in the first season. Does it feel like to anyone else that they didn't think they were going to get another season? As much as I like most of the cast, it is just thin.

It feels kind of aimless, right? I mean, the first season felt aimless too but in a purposeful way, if you know what I mean? But this season I'm having trouble seeing a purpose amidst this sea of angst.
