Jake Hits Up Bong

I feel as if there have been an inordinate number of movie projects announced lately that are so exciting, so right in my wheel-house, that they've reduced me to inarticulate blubbering -- I know I know, "inarticulate blubbering" is basically being vomited from me 90% of the time, how are you supposed to know the difference, yadda yadda. You're a dick. My point is for all of the complaints and think-pieces calling cinema dead, there are nifty spouts poking outta the cemetery dirt, if you know where to look. 

Like perhaps today's news that South Korean director Bong Joon-ho, who last gave us Snowpiercer (and before that The Host and Mother). is getting set to make another English-language flick (or at least mostly English-language), it will be a "monster movie," and he is definitely re-teaming with Tilda Swinton for it, but on top of that, "in talks" as the parlance goes, is Jake Gyllenhaal. Oh and also Paul Dano, Kelly Macdonald (hooray!) and Bill Nighy. And they're all great but... Bong, Tilda & Jake, together and making one great big monster movie??? CUE INARTICULATE BLUBBERING.
