September 10th really should be christened "Doom Generation Day" -- no, not because it's September 11th Eve, although that's somehow fitting too given the film's preoccupation with Armageddon -- because it's the birthday of both James Duval and Jonathan Schaech, the "heterosexual" male leads in the film. 

And hey since Rose McGowan's birthday is just five days earlier she counts towards it too. I wish it had been released right around now to formally seal the deal, but the film came out in the US on October 25th... hey, it will be celebrating its 20 year anniversary in six weeks! We should all dress as characters from the film this Halloween. I'll be Parker Posey!
