Thom & Co Still Plugging Away

.
Two days ago a Radiohead song came up when I had my iPod on shuffle (seeing as how like 25% of what's on my iPod is Radiohead the percentages are quite good that this will happen, you see) and it made me wonder what was going on with their next album, which they've been in the studio working on - the last update we'd gotten was way back in February and it was supposedly going well. Well Consequence of Sound dug up a Danish interview Jonny Greenwood gave a month ago and there's a little bit of an update, although it's basically - yeah we're still working on it.

"Greenwood admitted that because the band didn’t do anything together for an extended period of time, it took “a lot of time” for them to get into the swing of things. Currently, he and frontman Thom Yorke are recording together in intervals. “This afternoon, Thom and I will work on a song we started yesterday, and see what it will lead to,” he explained."

Come on guys! It's been four years since The King of Limbs came out! (I can't believe it's been four years.) Jonny also says that they're working on getting their old unreleased song "Lift" in fighting shape for the album (that song's been bouncing around for 20 years or so) so that's a thing to be excited about! Here's an old version:
