I Am Link

.
--- Beetle Drink - They're just straight up shooting the Live Nude Lady Ghost Busters movie right in the middle of great big crowded Boston streets, so I guess we'll be seeing lots of set pictures -- DH has gathered up the first few shots of Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy and Kate McKinnon in character and... that's a lot of character, through costuming and hair, at least. Also, Slimer news! I'm more convinced than ever that Ecto Cooler is going to make its triumphant comeback with this movie anyway, and that's what really matters.
.
--- Bawdy Bedelia - Reading several this week alone I've come to understand that most interviews with Gillian Anderson are awfully similar in that she's clearly always uncomfortable giving them, especially when asked about such cloudy concepts as her character's motivations on Hannibal - it's like you're poking her in the eye! This is endearing, by the way. She also keeps being a wet rag on X-Files fan-boys, which is doubly hysterical.
.
--- Check Out - As usual Ryan Murphy talks too much about what he's doing on American Horror Story beforehand so if you don't wanna know much don't click on this link and don't read what I'm about to write, because I'm going there - in an interview with Deadline he says that the door's open for Jessica Lange to return in another season (no big shock there) and he says that now Denis O'Hare is returning for Hotel too (yay) and he says that Sarah Paulson & Evan Peters are playing "absolute evil villains" this season (please for fuck's sake make Evan gay this time!) and he also says that this season will be much "bloodier and grislier."
.
--- Rave About The Girl - I'm fairly sure that Greta Gerwig's role in Eden is on the small side but hey when ya got Greta Gerwig in your movie, you sell Greta Gerwig. Here's a clip from the film, which is about the 90s French Electronic music scene, starring Greta and an adorable shirtless French boy who is smitten with her. So say we all, dude. Eden is out in some theaters today! (thanks Mac)
.
--- Raptor Up - Well this made me feel like a kid again - here's a gallery of forty behind-the-scenes pictures from the set of the first Jurassic Park movie (thanks Mac), with lots of looks at all the big psychical present puppetry the actors got to interact with (hi-ya Stan Winston!) and god what a difference it made.
.
--- That German Feeling - Here is today's link to something I haven't read yet but am saving for my lunch-time reading -- there's a long chat with Werner Herzog up at Interview Magazine talking about I don't know Werner Herzog things. He'll probably tell a dry joke about a dead walrus and then eat his shoe, the end.
 .
--- Can Do Kidman - In an interview Nicole Kidman said that she's going to shoot a film with Jane Campion next year; it's almost been twenty years since they made Portrait of a Lady together, can you believe that? Anyway The Playlist theorizes that it's an adaption of Rachel Kushner's book The Flamethrowers, which Jane's been attached to for awhile; they've got the summation there. Sounds... big. And the chick on the book's cover kind of looks just like Nicole. Honestly - is that a picture of Nicole?
.
--- Lady Love - Over at The Film Experience Nathaniel is counting down the days until Todd Haynes' film Carol comes out (so say we all, dude) and shares a video from Cannes that has a little bit of new footage from the movie. Nat also gives the dates on all the Fall movies, in case you're working on your schedule. Oh and speaking of The Film Experience did you read all of the posts written by the phenom actress Ann Dowd yesterday when she took over the site? SO GOOD. She's a wonderful writer on top of being a kick-ass presence on screen.
 .
--- And Finally you've maybe watched this already but in case you haven't the first teaser for the second season of Fargo basically shows nothing but it shows nothing with so much style and with that it is a killer reminder of what a killer show that show was in its first season. I cannot wait for round two, especially with a cast including Patrick Wilson and Kirsten Dunst, oh my god. It's back in September!
