Good Morning, World

.
So who knows something, anything, about The Secret River? All I know so far is it appears to be some kind of mini-series starring a heavily bearded Oliver Jackson-Cohen (see previous posts on Oliver here) as a beefy woodsman of some kind and THAT IS PLENTY to at least make me need to know more. Anybody seen it? Tell me more! And then hit the jump for more Oliver...

You have made my day! Why OJC is not a huge mega star with scads of fanzines devoted to his chest hair is one of life's great mysteries.

It's an Australian miniseries which just started airing here on our (government-funded) ABC network (which also aired all of Chris Lilley's shows, for reference). It's a fictional take on what conflicts might have occurred between convicts transported to Australia and the Aboriginal people who were displaced by the convicts' arrival. I'm not sure if there are plans for it to air in the US, but I'm sure it will find its way onto torrent sites for screen-capping/gif-making purposes, if it hasn't already.

I was so sad when they cancelled Dracula. His Jonathan Harker was hotter than John Rhys Myers' Dracula!
