It's a Wonderful Frank

.
That picture of Frank Capra in 1926 (via his IMDb page) is the first time it's been brought to my attention that Frank Capra was once an attractive young man (the Sicilian is coming through strong up there) and now I'll never be able to think about him and Gary Cooper working those long hard days and nights together on those movies they made the same way again...

Anyway Mr. Capra was born on this day one hundred and eighteen years ago, and so to commemorate that fact here let us choose between two of his other famous leading fellas...

Which is hotter?

Clark Gable in It Happened One Night0%
Cary Grant in Arsenic and Old Lace0%

That is a difficult choice, both were attractive men in their own very different ways. Cary was all suave refinement while Clark a brawny man's man with a gleam in his eye. How to decide!! At first I thought if Gable's good enough for Carole Lombard he's good enough for me but then I remembered about his well known bad breath because of ill fitting dentures and I thought about Cary and Randolph Scott so that tipped me ever so slightly in Cary's direction. Either way there is no bad choice.
