Everything You Ever Need To Know About Life...

... you can learn from:

Henry: Guns are easy to get...
I can make a phone call and get a gun.
Anybody can get a gun, Otis.

John McNaughton's masterpiece (which didn't get any sort of theatrical release until four years after its premiere, so it's either turning 29 or 25 this year, depending on your pick) is the choice for this week's banner both because of birth (today is Michael Rooker's birthday) and sadly, because of death: Tom Towles, who played the somehow even more terrifying than Henry character of Otis, died this weekend at the age of 65. Towles did tons of character work through his two and a half decade career and you most certainly know his face (although I'm surprised to see that he hadn't worked since 2008) -- he's best known for his horror movies but he also played lots of cops and tough guys all over TV (he literally played a character called "Tough Guy" on Seinfeld). I was very sad to hear of his passing; it was always great when he showed up on something. Condolences to his loved ones.
