I was 14 years old in the summer of 1992 and I stole an issue of Playgirl from the bookstore in the mall by stuffing it into my shorts and that was how I saw my first adult penis, and that penis belonged to Dirk Shafer, and now he is dead. I don't really know how to properly memorialize such a thing. But god he meant a lot to me. I will say that I've been a fan of what he showed me ever since. Thanks for the memories, Dirk. I have almost the same story. He wasn't my very first, but I remember so clearly stealing that magazine and loving everything about him, especially his penis...
How nice and touching memories! If I were living in a place where they were selling PLAYGIRL I would certainly do the same! Alas, growing up in a small town of the former S.U. I first saw a picture if Dirk Shafer in a reprint B&W polish gay magazine. Without even knowing his name (there wasn't any caption), even without seeing him nude (he was in his cowboy hat and drawes) I immediately felt something for him... Later Dirk Shafer became a part of my life - like a dear and close friend - though just on the pages of PLAYGIRL and in my fantasies... Now Dirk has gone - but he will always stay with us, his true fans. And I'm so grateful for readng his last wonderful interview and looking at all his great manhood - in his fifties! - once again, on the pages of PLAYGIRL, Fall 2012.
