Good Morning, World

.
And a happy 26 - sigh yes just 26 - to writer-director-actor and Quebecois hipster-savant Xavier Dolan today. He's flitting about with Jessica Chastain and Kathy Bates and Susan Sarandon and Kit Harington these days making his first English-language movie, so we're sure he's doing just fine. Now that most  everybody's had their chance at seeing Mommy I assume (it's got to've made its way out as far out as it's ever going to make it at this point, right?) I ask y'all: What's your favorite Dolan movie? I did like Mommy very much but I think I'll probably always remain partial to Tom at the Farm.

I've seen them all and love them all but MOMMY has the most emotional resonance for me. It breaks my heart but gives me hope at the end. I think it's a great film and shows what at master he is even at such a young age. He is without a doubt one of the most exciting filmmakers I can recall since first falling in love with film as a child.

I Killed My Mother is my favorite. I love it.
I've seen the others but not Mommy yet, as it only arrives in Denmark in a few weeks. But I've given my mom tickets to see it with me for her birthday. Can't wait.
