When the first trailer for Thomas Vinterberg's upcoming movie adaptation of Thomas Hardy's book Far From the Madding Crowd dropped back in November I used the occasion to ogle Matthias Schoenaerts, my favorite Belgian beefcake who's starring opposite Carey Mulligan in the film. Well now we've got a second trailer and guess what? I am doing the same thing, again.
Matty understands. And the people in the PR department understand too because I'll be gosh-darned if this trailer doesn't have just about 150% more Schoenaerts in it. He's everywhere! Which made my job capping him a little more laborious but if there's anybody (any body) worth the effort...

I've seen this and happy to report that Vinterberg and his cinematographer are as in love with Matthias as we are. He's lit and framed beautifully and with a lotta love.

So handsome and Gabriel Oak is my favorite character in the story so a win all the way around.
