--- Ladies Doin It - The US Actressing Community (I like thinking of them as a league, like Olympians) is embracing Xavier Dolan with open arms, which should come as no shock given how he's treated his actresses so far, giving them juicy things to gnaw on - Kathy Bates and Susan Sarandon have both leapt on his first English-language movie, which we told you last week will star Kit Harington and Jessica Chastain as an actor and a gossip columnist taking him down, respectively. Sarandon's playing Kit's mother (Xav loves his mommy roles!) and Kathy's his agent.

--- Queen Val - I missed linking to the first few but turns out our pal Sean is recapping the new season of The Comeback for The Observer! Go Sean! You can read the most recent one for this week's brutally funny episode right here. I would ask if y'all have been watching it but given the ratings I've seen online you and I are apparently the only ones doing so. Well, cherish (ha) what we got - it's amazing we even got these amazing amazing amazing extra half-hours at all, people.
.
--- Rotten Apple - Do you guys think that Natalie Portman joined the Steve Jobs movie just so she could drop out at the last minute to get back at its star Michael Fassbender for dropping out at the last minute of her troubled Western Jane Got a Gun back in the day when that previous movie's director got canned? I think Natalie did this, the scamp.
.
--- And Speaking of gigantic cocks (well there is a picture of Michael Fassbender right there anyway) here's today's lunchtime read - an oral (heh pun intended no doubt) history of Paul Thomas Anderson's Boogie Nights, which apparently includes plenty of chatter about Marky Mark's schwinging schlong.
.
--- Wild Woman - As if I needed more reason to love my new bestie in the world Laura Dern, in the middle of this interview with The Playlist (thanks Mac) she freaks out about a wasp, aka the worst terrors known to mankind. We have so much in common, Dern-o! (That's my personal nickname for my bestie in all the world, it's like an inside joke, you wouldn't get it unless you were there, sorry.)
.
--- Actually Elven - This is a cute little chat with Lee Pace about The Hobbit and why everybody seems to think that he's British; I just wanted him to be like, "Well my boyfriend is, so maybe I've picked up his accent or something" but of course no none of that happens. (thanks Mac)
.
--- The Dook Stuff - I think Exorcist director William Friedkin probably over-stated matters when he called The Babadook "the scariest movie ever made" - as much as I love the film, and love it I do, it's not really that kind of horror movie for me; it's working on me differently than "scary" that is. I keep using the phrase "emotionally devastating" which I guess could be considered "scary" in one way, but I feel like using the word he's using throws people's expectations off. Anyway HitFix talked to Friedkin a bunch more about his experience with The Babadook, check it out. (thanks Mac)
.
--- Banjo Jams - Some crazy person went and listed the 100 Best Sufjan Stevens Christmas Songs, see it right here. (thanks Mac) I will say that reading the list got me listening to the albums right away though, and it's what I've been listening to for two days already. My top two for what it's worth shuffle back and forth between "Christmas in the Room" and "Sister Winter."

--- Without Thom - I've been waiting for this ever since seeing Inherent Vice at the NYFF a few months back and it sure did take long enough - here's the unreleased Radiohead track called "Spooks" that Jonny Greenwood reworked for the movie's soundtrack! It features Joanna Newsom and some Supergrass folks.

--- Sons Buns - I've seen and posted most if not all of these shots of a naked Charlie Hunnam before here at the blog (start here and work your way back thru the Hunnam label) but far be it from me not to link to a gallery celebrating all the gratuity this fine young man has given us on his Sons of Anarchy show as it closes out its however-many seasons. So much bum, so much much bum.
.
--- The Glove Fits - Sarah Paulson playing prosecutor Marcia Clark in Ryan Murphy's American Crime Story series about the OJ Simpson trial is something I want to wind my clock to go off for right this moment, so I know at every given second between now and then, all the way into next year, how much longer I've got to wait to witness such an amazing thing. Cuba Gooding Jr will play OJ, which could be terrific too.

--- And Finally I can't remember if I'd seen this before or not, let me check and see... no, I did post about it once and the fact that Charlie Cox was turning it into a feature-length film, but I couldn't find the short-film called Hello Carter that starred Dominic Cooper.. until now, via here.
