Variety is reporting (thanks Mac) that Jake Gyllenhaal is re-teaming with director Antoine Fuqua, who he just worked with on the boxing-movie Southpaw (it is out next year), on a film called The Man Who Made It Snow (great title - please don't change it, Hollywood) which tells the true-story of "Max Mermelstein, a Jewish hotel engineer who transforms a small drug organization into a billion dollar enterprise." Mermelstein himself wrote the book that they're basing the script on; I already fear a Jordan Belfort type "asshole making money off of his bad deeds being flaunted" situation, but we'll see. I know this is a 5 year old post but even in 2014 Max had already been dead 6 years...

I wish the movie would be made along with the Jon Roberts film, hopefully not ruining the true storys like American Made with T Cruise which was really bad...
